Where V1 stands
An 18 hole par 3 loop, concepted over the 7/26 weekend. It keeps to the lower area
and routes around some of the property's better scenes, with hole design varied on a
par 3 standard. Flags are on the ground and the landscape crew has been mindful of them.

Design direction
- V1 is an object course. A target can be as simple as a painted PVC pipe.
Cheap, fast, reversible.
- The aspiration is art. Sculpture targets, maybe educational or interactive,
so it becomes more than disc golf.
- Standard baskets are an open question. Not clear they stay on brand for
Boulder Creek as the campus matures. Fine for now, but the simple object idea holds
even in V1.
- Next physical step if this version holds: set an object core, then flatten
or build up some DIY tees.
Wouldn't go this far, but it had me searching for ways to make it more
than disc golf. Maybe educational, maybe interactive.
Open threads
- Audit V1 against what is built. Are any holes too close to buildings?
- Two course concept. An easy course on the lower and open spaces, a refined
and harder one up in the woods. Montana precedent: several courses you hike to
before you even start.
- One more fun 9. Boulder meadows into the pond and camp area.
- Branch back south into the forest and see what flows there.
