Everyone looks at the calendar first. It has to answer "is this actually booked?" without anyone opening a thing.
Three words to remember. If an event is fully booked, leave the title clean. If it is not solid yet, say so at the front.
That is the entire list. Nothing else goes in front of a name.
If you want it readable from the month view without opening anything, set the event colour to match. The tag is what counts, so never worry about getting the colour on. Tag it and move on.
The calendar keeps three words. The Booking Sheet carries a bit more detail, and it fills that in from your tag. You never have to touch it.
no tag becomes ConfirmedPENDING becomes Pending contractQUOTED becomes QuotedINQUIRY becomes Inquiry, and someone marks it Qualified in the Sheet once it clears the fit read. That word never goes on the calendar. The board matches bookings by name. Anything extra makes the same event show up twice.
